Computer problems..please help!
Today I got a new computer and it has a flat screen monitor. Anyway, the image quality is VERY choppy and blotchy (like it's been heavily pixalated). Anyone know why? Are my color settings off? It's pissing me off!

1. Look on the computer itself... Does it say: "Atari 2600"?
'Cause if it does, you might need an upgrade.

2. Check the monitor's setting
There's got to be a reset somewhere. Or else go to the manufacturer's website and check the drivers.

(That Atari crack was funny. Evil, but funny............)

first right click your desktop, choose properties, then display properties. Change your theme from Windows XP to "Windows Classic". Next, right click your new "my computer" icon, choose properties, hardware, device manager. Look for "display adapter" or whatever your video card is called. Once you get the exact name of your video card, visit the manufacturer's website and download the latest drivers for it. Install and reboot. If it is still ugly looking, go into advanced display properties and increase the resolution (to at least 800X600). You might want to increase color depth to 32-bit and see if that helps.

9. From what I've read....
This is typical with flat screens and so there really isn't anything I can do about it.

10. flat screen
I just bought a HP a769c with the f1703 flat screen, and it works fine. Not choppy at all. I did change the resolution on it, to 1024 X 768. I don't know if that would help, or not.
