I can cook. Damn well.

Problem is, I'm not so much for the cleaning. And I don't want to cook in, or eat off of, filthy things. I can't sew. I'm not great with money. When I try to fix things, I tend to break them worse. I am emotionally needy and tend to annoy my friends. I treat serious matters with frivolity, yet often take the slightest stuff to heart.

Strong odors make me nauseous, especially garbage and bathroom smells (at least those which originate from other people). I can't ride a merry-go-round without getting dizzy (though I love roller coasters). I get pissed off at other drivers. I smoke. I pick my nose in public.

I find it utterly astonishing that anyone is able to put up with me. Nonetheless, I'm glad that they are. :)

I survive thanks to the people who are able to pick up the slack, because I apparently am able to give them something in return. I suppose we're all symbiotic in a sense. Once you realize that, I think you'll be okay.

1. You pick your nose in public? Ewwww.
You should at least have the decency to do it in the privacy of your own home, like the rest of us.

2. It sounded like me until
the digging for brain gold in public part. Nah, can't see doing that. Otherwise, sounds like a decent person to know. Sounds like most people actually, except the nose picking part.

3. Well, I'm no picnic in the park, either.
God, I have more than my share of faults. And I hope Doug and my friends and family can put up with them.

I think your post demonstrates that we all have our frailities, faults, whatever. But deep down, the people in our lives realize that basically we're good at heart...and that's what's important, overall.

6. And don't ever let it happen, mister.
We see each other at the meetups. And I CAN get up and walk out of Moody's. Oh, believe me I can. :-)

Put down the magnifying glass... we all have our little eccentricities. I would hazard a guess that if you don't focus it on others and bitch at them, then that most likely makes you a better companion than most.

11. Everyday, al. Every fricken day.
It's difficult being a Renaissance man, in the big square world.
