15. Was asked by 1 person "do you play tennis in them?"
then told I should call them walking shoes if that was all I did. Buncha elistist snob behavior. I told him I was old, give me a break as I rolled my eyes.

13. Well, are they for playing tennis, or for breaking into people's houses?
It makes a difference, you know. Name follows function.

17. Tennis shoes, trainers, plimsoles
I grew up in the UK. It affected my languge as well as my spelling.

Khash.

19. Tennashoes
Honestly, I grew up hearing my parents say this and thought this was some special name for the shoes! I don't think I realized the term was actually "tennis shoes" until I was in third grade or so. I still call them this if I'm having to differentiate between them and another type of shoes, but I normally just say "shoes" since this is the only type of shoes I've ever worn, outside of work, on a regular basis.
