Has anyone else's Sunday comic section suddenly shrunk?
My paper shrunk all the comics, moved a couple to other sections of the paper and managed to cut a whole page out of the funnies on sundays.

It sucks. I need an enlarging copier to read Doonesbury, now that is ridiculous.

Talk about annoying.

Just wondered if it was just our paper or perhaps the company that prints them for the papers.

1. Been shrinking for years...
Print comics are a dying media form, whether daily, Sundays, or comic magazines. If you look at Bill Watterston's forward to his last "Calvin and Hobbes" book, he gives a great survey of the shrinkage of the comic sections in Sunday papers. That, along with increased pressure for corporate control, was among the reasons he retired the strip. I've always entertained a notion of re-issuing old comics as a weekly, or monthly, newsprint magazine. Unfortunately, with electronic entertainment, I doubt there would be a market for it.
