I love free WiFi so much I could marry it.
I'm in Olympia WA for two days for a lot of appointments with a lot of down time, and I have had the best luck finding free WiFi cafes.

All day long I've been able to pop into places, check my email, play on DU and have a good time.

WiFi is now one of my top 10 inventions of all time.

3. Sorry - Wireless internet connection
A number of cafes and hotels are now providing free WiFi (wireless internet connection). You just pop open your (wireless cappable) laptop, jump on the network and go.

I used it in my hotel room last night, in cafes today and ! I'm using it right now.

5. I have a terrible time (read: never) finding free Wi-Fi
that'll work for me.

Do you need a special kind of modem or anything to soup up your laptop in some way?

8. I have the wireless card already (for my home network)
and I just downloaded "network stumbler"--a free software program.

Maybe that software will help my computer "see" other wireless connections (other than my own) when I'm traveling.

12. My next-door neighbors loved free WiFi before I moved in
Edited on Wed Feb-16-05 10:58 PM by da_chimperor
now they just miss it. My place has WiFi, but my friends that were already living here (I'm in a big shared apartment) didn't have it password protected. Sure enough, at least one of the neighbors was on line at all times. I fixed that problem with a 26 digit hexadecimal password.
