Is _American Idiot_ the best Green Day album ever?

Poll question: Is _American Idiot_ the best Green Day album ever?

A lot of the critics seem to think so, but I usually take what they say with a grain of salt. I'm curious what DU thinks, though. What, in your opinion, is the best Green Day album?

My personal favorite is Nimrod. Yeah, I know it's supposed to be their "sell-out" album and yadda yadda yadda but I just think it's a great rock album, with an awesome diversity of styles from track-to-track that has no songs I skip over when I play it. I'm glad Green Day is finally getting some credit with this album, and I definitely enjoy its political message, but it's not my personal favorite.

1. Before American Idiot I thought they were OK

but I've never been a big fan. I think they reached a new level as a band with this album. They're not doing radio-pop anymore. This is their best, and one of the best albums of 2004.
