1. Then, the motto changes. What happens in Fargo,
stays in Fargo.

3. "You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave."
It's the 'Hotel California' amendment. ;)

4. Plan a weekend in New Orleans
The French Quarter Festival is 8-10 April and damned well worth the trip. And whatever goes on in the quarter, (or comes off in the quarter) stays in the quarter

6. What happens here, stays here. Fortunately, those who
made it happen go home in about a week...

7. I spent a year living in Laughlin, Nevada, about 90 minutes from Vegas.
During that time, I witnessed and heard about all sorts of shit:

A cocktail waitress who received a $5,000 diamond necklace from a resort owner for "doing what she does best";

Security guards earning extra money from the resort owners by beating up the union reps who were trying to organize the casinos;

Referring to the dead homeless people who turned up in the brush along the Colorado River as "bush bunnies";

A young couple having sex in a public swimming pool even though a number of other people were also there at the time (some of them children);

The 14-year-old prostitute known as "Cocaine Karen";

Teen-agers who went around destroying property because there was nothing else for people under 21 to do in a desert gambling town;

A cashier at the local grocery store, with whom I had become friendly, suddenly getting busted for being a drug kingpin;

Half the local news stories being about car and truck smash-ups on State Route 95, where the speed limit is 75 MPH. (Whenever I drove at 75 MPH, however, the other motorists blew past me in a blur.)

You can see why I got the fuck out of that hellhole after only a year! :scared::puke:

8. I lived in Manhattan for 12 years, worked there for 20.
The shit that happens here in Vegas is like a church social compared to NYC of the early 80s.
