2. If we do, its because
we are what makes it dodgy. Only ones that live on our road, only residence and the county assigned us the number 1727! WTF? Why not 1 or 100 or somehting where the hell did they come up with 1727?

3. Well I guess they make it sound more important
you live on a very long street. Or they labeled every bunny whole as well and you are 1727.

Never heard of the word "dodgy". Does it really exist? Does it have a meaning (for you at least)?

I am the lucky owner of prime location real estate myself...
However, there's a lot of dodgey stuff that happens around here.

14. there is no such thing as a dodgy end of the street in my neighborhood.
the homeowner association/nazis would be all over it in record time. they are keeping track, as i type, if the 3 weeds in my front yard are getting visible enough to fine me. and with all the rain we've been getting, thank god for round up.

someone complained because of it!! can you believe that shit? they had to pass an amendment so that i could keep it taped to my garage door during an election year, too.

20. Hey buddy. I was President of our Neighborhood Assoc.
and I made it one cool year!

I AM the dodgy one, with two old cars in the garage being restored, loud music in the summer, and many signs on the lawn.

I arrranged the entire neighborhood rummage sale so I could scavenge thru the old folks' garages and closets and basements for neat retro stuff.

I arranged the block party with a rocking blues band and tons of booze so I could check out the cute women in the neighborhood and observe what they do after a few drinks.

and if anyone had a whiney complaint about anything I told them that's not what we do here, we have fun, so work it out amongst yourselves.

I was very popular in certain circles...

25. Well you were a liberal
I am talking about the neocons that run their neighborhood association like it is a elite club. and they make some really stupid and strange rules.

15. No, and thank goodness
5 blocks away is the dodgy end of our street...it's where the drugged up hookers ply their trade...and a serial killer picks them up.

It's odd in my town that 4 or 5 short blocks is a world away...

21. if by dodgy you mean dodging bullets
Yes, years ago I did and still have the bullet holes in my old furniture to prove it, although I doubt anyone in my new neighborhood believes my wild tales.

The conservation movement is a breeding ground of communists
and other subversives. We intend to clean them out,
even if it means rounding up every birdwatcher in the country.

23. my side is the dodgy side
I live across the street from the neat nicks. I kid you not, they use hand scissors to trim any blade of grass that is out of line with the rest. They blacktop their drive 3X a year. They change the flags every day, move the decorations round every week (they got something for everything). The people next to them the same, everything perfect, ah, but my side, we just mow the weeds to an equal size, paint when it begins to flake and rake only twice a year, once in the spring to uncover what may be grass, and once in the fall after we think everything has fallen. Its funny we sit on the porch (my side) and marvel at all the industry done by our neighbors, and we can see them sitting on their porches and assume they are complaining about how lazy we are. FYI we look to be having more fun as when we sit out we take some drinks and snacks and let the dogs/kid loose, drink eat and watch the interactions of kids. When they sit out, they sit their with their arms crossed glaring at us.
