3. Yes... I read it replaces the natural moisture on your lips
with lanolin or aloe, so once you start, you need to keep re-applying it.

4. Oh yeah. Believe it or not
Your lips can get used to the faux moisture provided by chapstick (Carmex is the worst, imo), and stop producing moisture on its own. So you are addicted to chapstick! At least, your lips are!

I like the Bonnie Bell and Avon lip things myself. Chapstick takes too...chapsticky. I like the ones that taste like strawberry or bubblegum. Sigh....29 physically.....6 mentally :)

Chapstick is not just a coating, it actually bonds to your lips. Your lips will begin to cease creating their own mositure, and you will become reliant on it to keep your lips from drying out/becoming chapped. The same thing happens when people are frequent users of eye drops. Their eye stop creating tears.

petroleum jelly is better, but I still use chapstick.

Its not like anybody claims to have psychological effects of addiction.

I used to use carmex a lot and found my lips would dry out very quickly if I didn't continue using it. A friend said your lips could get addicted to it, so I stopped. After a few days of chapped lips I didn't need it anymore.

15. I hate Carmex.
It used to give me zits around my lips. That's why I use Burt's Bees. I love that stuff.
