1. What is the plotline of that show?
My daughter loves it, but I don't get it.

2. Neurotic mother and daughter...
in a small town in Connecticut. Mom and daughter have funny banter with each other and the silly people in town, including Mom's parents, Daughter's Korean best friend who is in a band with Sebastian Bach, Luke the local cafe owner, a goofy guy who has owns a grocery story and town weirdo Kirk. Daughter goes to school in New York or Boston or something, and comes home a lot with laundry. It's actually a very funny show. Have you watched it at all? It's on ABC Family everyday at 5/4 central. I suggest watching it. Even if you don't think it's funny, you'll be mesmerized by all the fast talking and get entertained by all the neuroses that is running rampant.

3. Thanks.
I did watch it one day, but couldn't quite get the grip. I did notice that the mom is a total neurotic nutcase, and it was pretty funny.

7. It is actually quite clever
I have seen some of it because my mother is a straight up Gilmour Girls junkie. Seriously. She is a fanatic.

17. It's a VERY liberal show
mom says to her repug parents one night at dinner "I HATE George Bush! I think that he's stupid and his eyes are too close together and he looks like a Monkey"! Daughter reads all the latest liberal bestsellers, one of her boyfriends was reading "Lies and the lying liars who tell them" in one episode. Both mom and daughter adore Jon Stewart and Bill Moyers-what's not to like? ;-)

4. My mother LOVES that show
she is hopelessly addicted. I could call her and tell her there is an emergency, like that I had been in a car wreck or something and she wouldn't move until after 9:00, when the show ends.

5. Love Gilmore Girls!
Tuesdays at 8pm on the WB. Watched it from the first show on. My husband thinks I'm nuts, but I love Luke!

6. that is the only sitcom I'm currently watching

. . .aside from the Simpsons of course. The writing, character development and repartee is comparable to screwball comedies of the '30's. It the best, and makes me long for the daughter that I haven't had as yet. Tried to get my son into it but he's not into it at all. Oh well. It's the best written thing on the tube. Totally eccentric hilarity. Hope it lasts.

12. I heard it hadn't been renewed.
Is your info new?

My daughter hooked me on the reruns. Now I have to watch, in order to see what happens.

The dialogue is superb! As good as Sorkin's first season of "West Wing."

15. Go to Spoilerfix.com and read "General Season Spoilers" for GG
According to 1/26 posting: The castmembers are saying it looks good for a 6th season. I hope so. I just watch a few shows and GG is one of them. I was sad to see Providence and Ed cancelled. I'm a total chick flick kinda gal. :-)

14. A friend of mine is involved in National Theatre...
And a friend of hers directed Lauren Graham in a play last year. Apparently she sucks at theatre, but TV she's good at. Just thought I'd pass that along.

10. I love that show
Clever writing, great characters. I hate the theme song and incidental music (by Carole King and her daughter), though. x(

13. It's worth rneting/buying the earlier episodes.
It's a classy show, and it really does build on previous episodes..

We really like it. :) I did not watch the first season, so I plan to get a DVD or VHS of it, and then catch up :)..

I always have my DVR record it for me:)

The cast ie excellent.:)
