Some of the puppeteers are friends of my wife's from work ("Sesame St" and "Between the Lions").

3. We were watching Sesame Street a while ago

with our two kids and the Elmo's World segment came on. Anyone who is familiar with that bit will know what I'm talking about when I refer to how Elmo wrestles/argues with the window shade so he can talk to Mr. Noodle.

Anyway, Elmo was in the middle of berating the shade when I whispered to my wife, "C'mon shade, quit fucking around!" in an Elmo-like voice.

She and I giggle to this day when we see Elmo and his window shade.

10. Thank the gods I had just swallowed my gulp of tea
before I read your post. My 2 year old daughter loves Sesame Street and Elmo's World. I don't think I'll be able to watch it now without thinking of "C'mon shade, quit fucking around!" every time that stupid shade comes on.
