Where's the "official" American Idol thread?

I didn't want to start one, just wanted to lurk and maybe post.

And if you don't like the show, please don't reply to this post. That probably deserves its own thread. Besides, it's my only "reality show" indulgence.

1. The guy in Cleveland ...

who they told would never make it to a record company was the best singer tonight . And the girl who sung a song from the " Phantom of the Opera " was amazing as well . She was in perfect pitch - but I don't think she should waste her talent on American Idol .

Why did they waste time on the " mime girl " ? She knew she would be on television . So obvious . Soooooooo obvious . The first girl at the auditions in Orlando was just LOUD . She sucked .

2. I think the kid with the tracheotomy was the best by a smidge.

Plus he had a good background story. But if you mean the guy who's dad said he'd never amount to anything, he's a close second. Take that, you sonofabitch sperm donor!

The tall black lady near the end had the whole package going.

And I think "James Brown" is going to be interesting. In a good way.

Overall, too many people seem to think that the nose is essential in creating wonderful vocal tone. :puke:

3. Yeah the guy wearing the glasses was good too .

I think the male singers have been the best thus far .

I told myself I was not going to watch this show , now I watch it every week .
