Who are the great dead guitarists?
I would think of four that come to mind:

Jimi Hendrix (died 1970)
Randy Rhoades (died 1982)
Stevie Ray Vaughan (died 1990)
"Dimebag" Darrell Abbot (died 2004)

8. I saw him play 20 years ago
Old Town School of Folk Music, Chicago. A great, idiosyncratic show... He played a piece twice because he liked it so much, and interrupted a song for an unscheduled bathroom break. He apologized for his kidney problems & picked up where he left off...

24. Randy California
..of the 60's band, Spirit (most people have only heard "Mechanical World", their hit from back then). He jammed with Hendrix in the Village when he was like, 16, or something like that.
He used an old tape recorder for a distortion unit, as a preamp before his guitar amp. Played an old Sears & Roebuck guitar for the longest time too.
