Christmas Morning
After exchanging gifts with my wife I was quietly contemplating my first Christmas as an orphan (I'm 50 and my Dad died last April; my Mom died when I was 11) when the phone rang. My brother in law was on the other end and informed me that my father in law had passed away early Christmas morning of heart failure at the age of 80. Passing that info onto my wife was a pain no pill can cure. My father in law had a beautiful funeral service complete with 21 gun salute, color guard and flag folding detail from the Army. He proudly served and was a WWII service connected disabled Vet (lost his left arm as a result of the D-Day Landing) and a lifelong kick ass democrat. I will proudly remember him in all my future endeavors to support and defend the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.

Allow me a moment of tackiness. If there are any conservatives lurking here, read and reread the above. You and your kind will not destroy this country. I promise. On my father in laws grave, I Promise.
