Going out on a limb here. Chargers will be in SB XXXIX.
They have as good a chance as Pitt. NE, Ind or any other AFC team.
Even though they lost last week, they still played a great game. Brees is having an All-Pro year, Gates is the best TE in the NFL, and LaDanian Tomlinson may be the best all around back in the league. Plus they have an improved offensive line and they are #2 against the run on defense.

I'm a true Patriot fan but the Chargers may go all the way.

1. When they're done with Marty
Could they kindly send him back to Cleveland?

2. Stating the obvious here: Patriots will be in SB XXXIX
Chargers will not.

Glad you're a Pats fan, so your disappointment won't be as acute.

3. Pittsburgh vs. Philly or Atlanta
The Pats can't handle the Steelers wide receivers with the new interferance rules.

4. Maybe, maybe not.
We shall see.

I do worry about Pittsburgh (they are tough), but the Patriots have an uncanny ability to find ways to win when it counts. Plus, I think having Maddox in instead of Roethlisberger seriously hurts the Steelers.

I say New England vs. Philly. That was my call before the season started, and I'm sticking to it.

7. The Chargers are peaking at the right time.
Even though they gave up 34 pts last week. They lost in OT due to the coin toss against the best offensive power in NFL history, the best QB ever, the best receiver in the NFL (harrison), and the leading rusher in the league, at their hoem domed stadium.
Can we say Cinderella?

8. They're peaking at the right time?
But they gave up 34 points last week when they really needed a win?

Sure, the coin toss didn't go their way and Manning and Harrison are tough customers, but if you don't win when it counts you aren't going to the Super Bowl.

Granted, the Pats lost on Monday night to the mighty, mighty Dolphins (sarcasm), so I ought to be worried, too.

But I'm not.

OK, I am, but I still believe. (Remember, Pats fans and Sox fans come from the same pool and suffer from the same diseases of the mind).

9. NO WAY
Broncos will beat the Colts at home on Sunday.
Bills will lose to the Steelers.
J-E-T-S will lose to the Rams.

Broncos will go to San Diego and whup up on the Chargers (as always) and send them home for the winter.

Broncos will beat New England in the AFC Championship and beat the Panthers to win it all.

Ha!

10. It could happen that way.
Except for the beating New England part.

That's where it breaks down for me.

14. I'm a lifelong Pats fan, born & raised in Boston area but right now
the Chargers have the steam and NE looks a little complacent
I want the Pats to take it all but my gut feeling, at this time, goes with the Bolts.

11. how 'bout them bills?
IF they beat the steelers and denver or Jets lose, they are in the playoffs, they have been real good the past few weeks-agianst bad teams. IF they make it.....

Go Pats

16. No way! Not like the Pats did in Miami.
These guys were the worst in the NFL last season and remind me of the Pats of 2001.

18. I was referring to
Super Bowl XXIX Jan. 29, 1995 San Francisco 49, San Diego 26

In the playoffs:

Jan. 15, 1995 San Diego vs Pittsburgh
San Diego won 17-13 over Pittsburgh

20. That was a game I try to forget.
Didnt Rice score T TD on the first offensive play of the game by SF?
I had a SB party at my house in San Diego, went all out with food and drinks, and after that play the whole house became very, very quiet.
The Bolts got trounced.

19. SD vs SF
I almost always root for the AFC...that was just ugly. What was it 55-10 I think.

22. 49-26. It was that close because SF played their 3rd stringers in the 4th
while SD was going for 2-pt conversions.
Just an ugly game.

Bills and Denver win. Bills got to the SB which will mean I will be getting a divorce as my wife is a huge Steelers fan.

Edited to add-whoever wins the AFC is the favorite in my opinion. The No Football Conference is doomed.
