Wish me luck, please
So Friday night is fast food night as my house, i go to Carl Jr's and get the usual, burger with onion rings and a diet coke...of course! I've needed to lose about 30lbs for about 2 years but i haven't got my ass into gear to do it yet, until last night. I was up until 2:30am with the worst heartburn I'd ever had, with every new spasm creeping up my throat i didn't know if i was going to throw up and pass out, it was awful. I'm chugging Maalox(aluminum siding in a bottle) and eating rolaids, thankfully AMC was running The Omen series. Anyhow, I've decided today...no more! I'm sick of feeling like shit. I started a food diary and went to the supermarket and got healthy things to eat and charged up my ipod and went for a 45 minute walk. Wish me luck, please.

You can do it!! I am down about 40 lbs (and 5 pants sizes!!) since May. It's ALL about portion control, and better choices! Hang in there!!

7. REMEMBER.... you did not gain weight quickly and it will not drop
quickly. STAY STRONG! Watch your progress, but do not become obsessed with it. As long as you are not going UP, consider it success. And stay away from the 'fad' diets. Monitor your caloric intake and reduce it.

And thank you. Ideally, I have 15 or so to go, but I am not beating myself up about it.

10. I decided i'm not getting anywhere near the scale for at least a month
i'm going to go by clothes, you know how that is. I know what pair of jeans will fit at around a certain weight. You've done an awesome job.

11. Excellent idea. I started at a 16 in Levis 525's and bought a smaller
size, only when it was totally needed. I am in an 8 now and shooting for a 6! :bounce:

At the risk of sounding like an afterschool special - I think you can do anything you put your mind to. :)

9. Best wishes.
My best advice- don't keep your feelings inside and use food as comfort. Food is for nutrition and fuel, not filling emotional voids. Find another outlet for that.

18. that'll help tremendously I'm sure.... there are so many good foods
available quick and easy like, these days.

Fast food isn't even good for you when you're road tripping, just gonna have to stop for a bathroom break 30 minutes later anyway.

I lost about 50 lbs in the last 6 months, by going somewhat low carb, staying away from milk and treating sweets like psychedelic drugs. They are OK in very limited moderation...

Ive actually lost weight during the holidays so far this year.

You can also just stop and think about B*sh and election fraud whenever you get hungry... always makes me lose my appetite!
