does anyone else still have their yard sign up?
Mine is still hanging on, though it's starting to look worn. I had a couple of parties last weekend, and a number of my guests mentioned that they appreciated the fact that I still had my Kerry sign out. I'm expecting to move next summer, and I figure I'll keep it out until then.

I was just curious if anybody else is still holding on ...

5. That's fantastic
Today I put a wreath in front of mine, as part of a larger display with some University of Oklahoma football memorabilia. I eventually had to take the Kerry sign out of the picture though, b/c my wife pointed out that it looked like a wreath mourning Kerry's passing.

But I like the lights idea. I just might have to copy that idea :yourock:

2. Yep.
But it's my Kerry bumper stickers on the van that sits square in our driveway, with the bumper glaring at all who pass by on the street. Been meaning to switch to other ones ... having trouble ... maybe in a few weeks I'll be ready.

6. Two of them, plus bumper sticker on car, and I still wear my buttons.
Gives me an opportunity to chat about the tainted election wherever I go. It's surprising how receptive people are to talking about it, especially people who voted for John Kerry. They're really disgusted, it's like everyone knows bush pulled some dirty tricks, and they get extremely angry when we discuss the racist suppression of voters.

Keep wearing your Kerry button, folks, and talk to them about what's going down in O-HI-O.

16. I left my bumper sticker on.
First time I had a sticker on car in 30 years. Guess I will leave it on.

mine is in the garage now. Can't bear to toss it or put it
someplace else, like the basement, for some reason. I have a Kerry bumper sticker on my fridge and won't take it down. It is next to a large picture of shrub with devil horns I drew on his head.

8. I di dnot put one up....reason....
I live in one of the most GOP states outside of the South.

INDIANA

If I put up a sign it would get stolen, people might break windows in my house, scrape my car.

If Jessu ran as a Democrat against Bin Laden as a GOP.

Indiana wouldl vote for Bin Laden no question.

11. I'm in Oklahoma, so I can relate to your despair
It sure does suck being surrounded by the mindless. Fortunately my block/neighborhood had a lot of Kerry signs, and I'm at least in the most liberal of Oklahoma towns. But that's not saying much.

9. Took mine down, then in defiance put them back
Hurt so much on election day that Kerry did not win ... knew it was a farce ... knew the country was lost ... knew America lost, I took the signs down for about a week. Put them back up and will leave them up indefinitely. I know who the President is and it's not the person sitting in the office this week. Waiting for Kerry to take his rightful place in office of President and Commander-in-Chief in January.

13. We took ours down because it was making me sick to look at it ...
knowing all the dirty dealing that went on -- I live in Ohio, and I have little faith in our electoral officials or the ultimate honesty of what happened here, and I still get a little queasy about it if I think too long because I'm afraid in the short run nothing that happens is going to make any difference. (I do have some home that what's happening here will have some effect on the long run, however.)

That being said, the Mr.'s car still has both his Dean and Kerry stickers on it, and he said he's not planning to take either of them off. His car is parked in the driveway, visible from the street, and I certainly wouldn't encourage him to remove the stickers. I still believe what we believed when we put them on his car.

My car got knackered during election season, and we hadn't put a sticker on it -- we had to have the back gate replaced in early October -- so it never got one. I work for a nonprofit anyway, and was somewhat concerned making overt political statements might make my employer uncomfortable, so as little as I liked it, I didn't put one on the car.

Funny thing -- our neighbors had their Naked Emperor sign out, and they hadn't taken it down, but we've had extremely windy weather the past month or so. It was knocked down, presumably by the wind, several times after Doomsday, they kept moving it closer and closer to the front of their house. The last time I saw it, though, it was half buried in the mulch right in front of their house. I don't know how it got knocked down -- really. I wouldn't infringe on anybody's right to express their opinion. Even if their opinion is so deeply, tragically wrong I'll never have a casual conversation with the knuckle-draggers again.

14. I had my Kucinich sign up until September
I intended to keep it up through the convention, but then I got lazy and didn't bother to take it down. Now it's in the garage, where it sits, still reading "HOPE BEGINS".

I look at it daily when I go to work. I may take it out just for kicks.

After Wellstone died, people here kept their green signs up for over a year, often with a black "armband" across one corner.

I see no need to take the signs down until all the votes have been counted. And that ain't happened yet.

15. I never had a yard sign (bad me) but my neighbors next door have theirs up
I kept my K/E sticker up in my car window, until it started to come off, then I replaced it with one that says "another american for peace." :)

17. It's still up
And I have a backup in case it starts showing it's age.

No danger of it getting snatched or defaced around here (working class neighborhood in a blue county in a blue state) but it may look a little faded after a healthy dose of Califormia sun.
