Stanley Cup Champs sell Jewelry while there is no hockey to be played
TAMPAThis Christmas, there won't be any Tampa Bay Lightning hockey games. But you will be able to buy the next best thing: Lightning Stanley Cup jewelry that ranges from a $25 sterling silver charm to a $1,500 gem- studded ring.
Intergold Ltd., the 130-employee company that crafted the championship rings for Lightning players, management and staff, wants to release a line of commemorative jewelry right after Thanksgiving for Bolts fans.

The Lightning are finalizing the deal with Intergold, which, ironically, is based in Calgary. The Lightning defeated the Calgary Flames in June to win the Stanley Cup.

Under the deal, Intergold will produce, market and sell the jewelry and the Lightning will get a cut of the sales, said Bill Wickett, a spokesman for the NHL team. The team's share of the revenue is being negotiated, Wickett said.

Miran Armutlu, Intergold's president and CEO, said the jewelry will include cuff links, charms, necklaces, bracelets and rings. The most expensive item will be a ring selling for up to $2,000, Armutlusaid.
