Just rented Kill Bill 2, without having watched Kill Bill 1. Is this wrong? Should I watch them in order? Help!

3. There's a recap of volume 1 at the beginning of volume 2.
It's not a problem. They're actually very different films in many ways.

it wouldn't really matter. You will miss a few of the "jokes" in 2 w/o knowing the backstory. -The Crazy 88 -The mysticism of the Hatori Hanzo sword -The identity of the piano man (ie Old colored fellah).

12. And redwitch doesn't seem all that interested in catching everything.
They're both very entertaining films on there own.

13. 2 was MUCH better than 1
In fact, I wished I'd just seen two.

14. I thought part 2 was better than part 1 also.
I would recommend seeing them in order. The second one will make a lot more sense after seeing the first.

22. Me 3. Part 1 had no character development. Part 2 was an improvement.
Loved the stuff with Michael Madsen working in the strip club, getting reamed out by his boss.

I really liked 1, but 2 bored me to tears. 1 is way quirkier and, I thought, more interesting. 2 is a little sentimental -- though it's got some wicked scenes.

Though you could watch them out of order, you'll really enjoy the first one much more without the little spoilers in the second.

Always watch films that are released in chronological order, IN THE CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER THAT THEY WERE RELEASED! It's for your benefit really. :pals:

The movies were OK, but one has to wonder what the sexual brutality says about him. 90% of it wasn't even related to the plot.

21. Glad to see someone agrees
Everyone else here is praising him. His movies are too violent. I also think that Pulp Fiction is a great picture until he pops up. He is a terrible director. A good director would have been able to tell that he was going to suck the movie down.

24. I liked part one sooooo much more than part two....
....too much talking, not enough action for me. I'm usually not big on violence at all. But after the pace is set in one for all that non-stop action, it was hard for me to handle all the talking in two. Me watching pt. 2 : Yawn. When is someone going to kick some ass? LOL!
