Are Peace lilly's or diffenbachia plants bad for cats?

you know like toxic buildup or anything. Since I dont have fresh grass. They are chowing on the peace lilly

Go to a feed store and get apound of uncut oats to sprout in a pie pan of potting soil. Oh, sure, you will have to deal with smart ass questions like "Hey, what size horse do you have?" but you're tough, you can take it.

Oats or wheat (untreated, like from the health food store) are usually much appreciated by cats who don't have good grazing around the casa.

House plants = bad due to unknown results/possible toxins.

dieffenbachia causes the ailementary canal to swell shut. a quick death. Same in humans. I don't know what a 'Peace Lily' is, because it's a common name, not the Latin name.

6. I'm not sure, but I think I've read ...

that all lilies are somewhat toxic to mammals. Although the much maligned poinsettia actually isn't as dangerous as we were led to believe -- it mostly just causes skin irritation at the entry and exit points, and a ten-pound dog or cat would have to eat a great deal of it to have any intestinal problems.

I wouldn't let 'em eat lilies. I think the bulbs are the worst, but whatever compounds are in the bulbs would surely be in the leaves and flowers, too.

Also, hyacinths are supposed to be toxic to mammals. It's why squirrels and rabbits eat everything else, but they generally leave them alone.

It has a chemical that causes the tongue to swell..
