Diane Roadcap is an animal psychic. Cats tell her things. Private things. Secret things. Things they don't want you to know - but maybe you should.

"I'm clairvoyant," Diane Roadcap said. "It's just as natural for me to speak with animals as it is with people."

That's how our session began. The day before Halloween, I visited the AmericInn Lodge & Suites in Rehoboth Beach. Diane, a pet psychic who visits several times a year from her home in Springfield, Va., had a full schedule. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., she'd be speaking with animals (and, if time allowed, their human companions) in a series of 20-minute sessions. She charges $40 per session, plus $10 for each additional animal. Her clients happily hand her the cash. They want to get inside their pets' minds.
