14. Do you really think Nascar is a sport?
Thats like calling Golf and Bowling sports. Wouldn't you agree sports means using athletic ability? I'm not talking about skill but athletic ability....it takes skill to type 100 wpm,it takes skill to drive a car exceptionally well,it takes skill to bowl a 300 game but not athleticism. Jumping, running, and strength are the measures by which athleticism are measured not how fast the car you are driving goes around a track. Besides that racing is just plain boring.

17. I don't know NASCAR, but there's no way in hell you can drive a F1 car
if you're not an athlete. Drivers who came from the lower formulas speak about your reflexes slowly going away, and your arms and legs stopping to respond. They have to train like crazy to be able to withstand a full race distance.

And what's wrong about testing skill? Shooting and archery are sports, right?

21. some NASCAR guys are pretty damn strong
I know guys like Mark Martin and Dale Jarret work out ALOT. sure they may never start in a football game, but how many football players could compete in NASCAR?

15. Michael Andretti sucks.
Tried Formula One in 1993. Laughable.

Real kickass drivers that came from Indy: Montoya, Villeneuve.

Oh, and let's not forget MARIO!

19. remember, i have bias though
Michael and Mario live 5 minutes from my house, i've gotten their autograph many times and have even gone trick or treating at Michael's house. He did win 50+ races, that's still pretty amazing. there also aren't many drivers which are successful at both formula 1 and Indy, sure Mario, Montoya, and Villeneuve have done it, but how many others?? Michael also didnt have exactly the best support in F1 either.

16. Basketball takes the most athleticism of any sport.
Quickness, stamana, jumping, and strength are required. Hockey and soccer are about as exciting as watching the grass grow.

18. Basketball:
RUn up, slam dunk, run back, slam dunk - just a showboat sport

Hockey takes the most physical conditioning of any sport

Jumping, going at full capacity at all times, co-ordination. Extreme strentgh to take and give hits. Flexibility....goes on and on

12. Pretty much anything
Baseball, mostly. A bit of basketball, football, and hockey. I watch soccer whenever I get a chance (EPL, when it's on, or the UEFA Champions League late in the summer; I wish we got Serie A here, since I keep seeing all the best players in the world move to Italy), and I can even watch tennis or golf now and then if I'm a little bored.

I get into the NBA and NHL during the playoffs (though when I lived in Pittsburgh, I watched a ton of Penguins games during the regular season). I plan on getting a season tickets package to the Expos/Senator/Grays/Whatevers.

Occasionally, I'll watch a little basketball, but that's about it.

I love baseball. But I am almost clinically insane when it comes to NFL football.
