If a trick-or-treater shows up at your doorstep dressed as "Evil Kerry"...
Do you still give him candy?

I'm not doing anything on Halloween this year (at least that I know of) and I have this scary idea that some little kid will be on my porch dressed in a freaky, twisted, ridiculous rendition of John Kerry.

I'm not all that great dealing with little kids, so I'm naturally afraid I'll get frustrated and just not give them candy - which of course violates the spirit of All Hallow's Eve.

Ideally, I would give him candy while giving off a clever political line, but I really doubt I'll care enough on Halloween to do something like that.

2. Give them raw carrots and broccoli.
You can always claim you were being health-conscious and didn't want to rot their teeth.

6. Frozen without the bag...should thaw nicely by the time they
get home.

Chocolate soup.

Okay, that was just evil.

Guess my pissy mood is still lingering.

7. Ahh you should do something this halloween then
Really, and I know I am gonna get laughed at for this or eyes rolled at but last year when I was 16 I still went trick or treating mostly because of peer pressure and the desire for candy heh, I don't know what I am doing yet, try to see if there are any parties that night, thats what I plan to do, I don't have school the next day though.

8. Of course I would
It is likely that the kid's freeper parents forced the costume on them anyway.

No need to punish the kid further, they have it bad enough already with ignorant a-hole parents.

10. Tell the kid to get a job, or keep Army enlistment forms handy
If they're Republicans, they're against handouts, right?

15. Don't want to scare the kid
I'd certainly do that if the person were obviously doing this consensually, like if they were over the age of 10.

LOL, great line about the "handouts" :D If one comes by (God forbid) with their fundie parent, I'll say "Sorry, but the way I understand it, you're against handouts." and shut the door.

The last thing I want to do though is get all guilty because I made a 6-year-old kid who doesn't even know how to spell President (not that this problem is exclusive to 8-year olds :D) cry by telling him to enlist.

14. Give the poor kid the candy,
And shoot the parents a nasty look. Double the nastiness if you have a Kerry lawn sign.

And what if the kid comes as a nice Kerry? How will you know the difference?

17. A "nice Kerry" costume would be decked out in Kerry signs
Like, literally draped in Kerry bumper stickers and signs.

The "bad Kerry" masks and stuff don't even look like Kerry at all. I wish I had a picture to post, but I saw one somewhere recently (can't remember... damned sleep deprivation) and I barely recognized it.

"And shoot the parents a nasty look".

Can I just give the Kid some candy and shoot the parents? :)

18. Realize it is his parents
not him that thinks Kerry is evil

He/she is a child with no control on what costume the parents buy for them!
