2. Buy music CD's by the truckload
I heard they actually lose a few cents on each one sold. Probably more if you engage the sales staff and possibly the manager in some lengthy friendly discussion.

7. A box or two full of Democratic literature
And pass it out to everyone at the store. Maybe also union brochures. That's only if you really must go there at all.

8. Get a customer feedback form
And tell them that they've done a fantastic job sucking the character and charm from a once distinctive inner city neighborhood. Let them know that their generous contribution to horizontal sprawl and the associated car culture has not gone unnoticed. And a special thanks for getting rid of those nasty overpriced mom and pop stores that used occupy those "old town" corner buildings. Those spaces are much better suited for discount liquor and cigarette marts anyhow.

10. A wind up alarm clock
Made in China (they don't sell any other kind so you don't need to read the label). Keep you sales slip because they will stop working within a month. Go back, get a replacement, repeat.
I am sorry I didn't buy from a store that sells quality- wallmart is about all I have in my area that sells alarm clocks.

12. Would you pick up a few things for me?
I`m stuck up here in the woods and don`t get out much...forced to shop in the Mom and Pop stores.

I just need a few of the essentials: Can you find one of those plug-in air fresheners with an attached fan? Maybe in a fresh mountain laurel scent? Oh...those press-on nails? Long and red. Get the ones with the glittery stars if you can. One of those Fodor travel books....Iraq? After Bush gets Baghdad to look like Cleveland, I might want to take a trip there to see it for myself, kinda wander around, take some photos and watch their baseball team play. Oh yeah...a box of those marshmallow Easter chicks (in pink) and an oil filter for an `88 Dodge?

Hand out a thimble to each person leaving the store with a warm smile on your face. Attach little labels on the inside that say:

"Brain Storage Device"

or, especially for the men

"Penis Storage Device"
