My cat sprayed me

Just did it. Right out of nowhere. I was petting him, being all nice and lovey dovey like always, and then BAM, he lifts his tail and sprays me.

What the hell is that all about? He's a healthy cat so no 'urinary tract infection' excuses.

Bastard. I still love him, though. :)

I had a vet tell me once that when male cats reach that age, and are brought to be "fixed", often only one testicle has descended fully. Discretion being the better part of valor, many vets leave the undescended testicle intact.

There are lots of cats with sense enough not to spray their human companions. Get one.

that if a male kitty ever sprayed before they got fixed they might keep doing it after. Did he ever spray before? Don't get another kitty! He loves you and you love him, obviously. Take him to the vet if he keeps acting weird.

so he may have before we got him. But he was so itty bitty... I thought he was still a kitten. He's still small. And crosseyed. :)

He only did it one time, over a year ago. I'm over it. If it happens again I'll drag his butt for an extra trip to the vet!
