PORT RICHEY - Pasco sheriff's deputies found the body of a man early Tuesday who apparently had spent the last few moments of his life trying to get into the home of an exotic dancer.
Heather Johannsen, a 20-year-old dancer at Lollipops in Hudson, told deputies that about 4:30 a.m. she heard banging outside her home in the Gulf Highlands subdivision. She looked out and saw the man trying to get into her garage, she said. After several minutes, she went outside and saw the man lying on his back in her front yard. A deputy who responded saw that the man was not breathing and called Fire Rescue. The man was soon pronounced dead at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point.
The Sheriff's Office did not release the man's identity Tuesday because his family had not been notified. He was about 40, a sheriff's report said. There were cuts and scrapes on several parts of his body, but the cause of his death was not determined Tuesday, sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll said.
