I would like to but my life doesn't allow for it. If there is a seattle gathering, I'll be down for it.

4. National I'd say the Globe and Mail
Locally? Well, in Vancouver the dailies are conservative to a point not like you guys have down there though. In Vancouver you may like Terminal City, or The Westender or The Georgia Straight. The courrier is good too.

17. Dark Irish or Mexican beers are good.
My wife doesn't like dark beers, but she does like Margaritas and deep dry red wines with lots of personality. I can drink those. When I was a young man many bad things happened to me when I was drinking whiskey or tequila. Worse things happened to me when I was drinking gin based drinks with newspaper people who drank gin based drinks. Rot. Just to let you know, if a smart big-breasted foul-mouthed sort of sexy middle-aged newspaper woman ever serves you a gin and tonic jump up off the sofa and run for your life!
