What "As Seen On TV" product have you succumb to buying?
C'mon, admit it. I know I'm not the only curious cat in here. I got the Ove Glove and the super chopper for all that salsa I don't make. Anyone else? :)

5. If you laugh at me, I will have to kill you all, slowly and painfully.....
In preparing for a baby shower, I had her pick up one of those egg peeler things. We fiddled and tried it every which way but all we ended up with was a bunch of smashed/blown up eggs. I finally gave up and just hand peeled the darn things.

What a waste!!!!!

p.s. YES, we read the directions!

12. Ronco food dehydrator
Piece of cheap plastic. I know people with other food dehydrators that work much better. On the bright side, when I ordered it they didn't send it for months and months but my credit card was charged. When I called and complained, they refunded my money and it came a couple days later. I ended up not paying a dime for it and thank god!

I was tempted by that portable steam cleaner, but when I researched it on the net, it seems that people who bought it aren't real thrilled with it . . . after some more research, I found a really good industrial strength one, and it's turned out to be one of my better purchases . . .

it looked SO easy on TV to make brush strokes with the special brush that made it look like you were panting with a gradient of color. When I try it at home, i get a massive mess. $34.95 or something down the drain

30. What exactly does a "molecular hair setter" do?
Is it like hot rollers or a curling iron?

31. the rollers have foam and you put them over
a little steam generator - so the molecule of which they are speaking is H20 LOL

They get steamy and it helps with the hair curling. Though my hair is so straight the curls would fall out after a couple of hours. It worked better than anything else I ever found, though.

40. It really really is.
I use it for all the stuff it shows on TV: grind morning coffee with it, usually someone in my house makes at least one smoothie with it, I blend soups together in the blender attachment, I make a great pesta pasta sauce with it, I've made guacamole with it, etc. I really use it very regularly. I love it!

It looks cheesy, but it works great, and isn't expensive at all. Best $10 I ever spent.

24. Don't know the name but it's a pot with the strainer holes in the lid
Saw it on a commercial and they have the most exagerated profiles of people unable to get pasta to fall into a plastic strainer from an open pot. Well, voila, this pot has the strainer built into the lid as a no muss, no fuss device. Given that I'm not a klutz when it comes to getting pasta to fall out into the strainer I pretty much considered the product to be a joke.

Well, the in-laws bought the thing for me as a Christmas present and I have to admit that while I never would have bought the thing myself, the thing is pretty frickin' practical.

36. I bought the Showtime Knife set....
Very nice knifes! I have some Ginsus around too....have been happy with them.

People are prejudice about ANYTHING they see on TV...they jusy assume it is crap becuase it's on tv.

I buy stuff from QVC periodically....always been happy with whatever I have bought from them.

I had a guy tell me one time that him and his daughter put aside money each month to buy stuff off of the tele. He said the only thing he ever bought that he didn't like was the hair removal spray, and when he sent it back they refunded his money with no questions asked.
