3. Keaton was a better physical comedian, but Chaplin is far more important

Chaplin changed the world in a way that Keaton didn't get too.

I love and respect both, but Chaplin wins in my book.

4. Keaton -- a true genius. He's everyman vs. the world...
He laid the groundwork for much of the comedy that followed him. His sight gags and physical stunts are inspired.

Interestingly, neither Keaton nor Chaplin made a successful transition to sound.

Chaplin's great, no doubt about it; I just find Keaton funnier. "Steamboat Bill, Jr." is unfuckwithable, even after all these decades have passed.
