The song title has no words.

Errors in perception?

Most of the songs mentioned in this thread have words.... are you missing something or is this a personal issue?

13. that has words. Damn, you made me google search (see above)
In 1965 Vietnam seemed like just another foreign war,
but it wasn't.
It was different in many ways, as so were those that did the fighting.
In World War II the average age of the combat soldier was 26...
In Vietnam he was 19.
In inininininin Vietnam he was 19.

(TV announcer's voice)
The shooting and fighting of the past two weeks continued today
25 miles west of Saigon
I really wasn't sure what was going on (Vet's Voice)

Nininini Nineteen, 19, Ni-nineteen 19
19,19,19,19

In Vietnam the combat soldier typically served a twelve month tour of duty but
was exposed to hostile fire almost everyday
Ninininininininininin 19 nininininninin 19

Hundreds of Thousands of men who saw heavy combat in Vietnam were arrested since discharge Their arrest rate is almost twice that of non-veterans of the same age.
There are no accurate figures of how many of these men have been incarcerated.
But, a Veterans Administration study concludes that the greater of Vets
exposure to combat could more likely affect his chances of being arrested or convicted.

This is one legacy of the Vietnam War

(Singing Girls)
All those who remember the war
They won't forget what they've seen..
Destruction of men in their prime
whose average was 19
Dedededededede-Destruction
Dedededededede-Destruction
War, War
Dededede-Destruction, wa-wa-War, wa-War, War
Dedededededede-Destruction
War, War

After World War II the Men came home together on troop ships, but the Vietnam
Vet often arrived home within 48 hours of jungle combat
Perhaps the most dramatic difference between World War II and Vietnam was
coming home.. .none of them received a hero's welcome
None of them received a heroes welcome, none of them, none of them
Nenene Nenene None of them, none of them, none of them (etc...)
None of them received a hero's welcome
None of them received a hero's welcome

According to a Veteran's Administration study
Half of the Vietnam combat veterans suffered from what Psychiatrists call
Post-Traumatic-Stress-Disorder
Many vets complain of alienation, rage, or guilt
Some succumb to suicidal thoughts
Eight to Ten years after coming home almost eight-hundred-thousand men are
still fighting the Vietnam War

(Singing Girls)
Dedededededede-Destruction

Nininininininininin Nineteen, 19, Ni-nineteen 19
19,19,19,19
Nininininininininin Nineteen, 19, Ni-nineteen 19
19,19,19,19

(Soldiers Voice)
When we came back it was different.. Everybody wants to know "How'd it
happened to those guys over there
There's gotta be something wrong somewhere
We did what we had to do
There's gotta be something wrong somewhere
People wanted us to be ashamed of what it made us
Dad had no idea what he went to fight and he is now
All we want to do is come home
All we want to do is come home
What did we do it for
All we want to do is come home
Was it worth it?

can be numbers, acronyms, abbreviations, etc. Just no words.

You were spot on, so long as the song is called "19" and not "nineteen"

40. And along the same theme...Bob Seger, "2 + 2 = ?"
Yes it's true I am a young man
but I'm old enough to kill
I don't wanna kill nobody
but I must if you so will
And if I raise my hand in question
you just say that I'm a fool
Cause I got the gall to ask you
Can you maybe change the rules
can you stand and call me upstart
Ask what answer can I find, I ain't sayin' I'm a genius
2+2 is on my mind

Well I knew a guy in high school
just an average friendly guy
And he had himself a girlfriend
and you made them say goodbye
Now he's buried in the mud
over foreign jungle land
And his girl just sits and cries
she just doesn't understand
So you say he died for freedom
well if he died to save your lies
Go ahead and call me yellow
2+2 is on my mind

All I know is that I'm young and your rules they are old
If I've got to kill to live
then there's something left untold
I'm no statesman I'm no general
I'm no kid I'll never be
It's the rules not the soldier
that I find the real enemy

I'm no prophet I'm no rebel
I'm just asking you why
I just want a simple answer
why it is I 've got to die
I'm a simple minded guy
2+2 is on my mind

30. I have no idea what you mean
"2112" has no words in the title.

You said "Overture"

To which I said, "No, the whole song"

Then you said, "Not the whole side, eh?".

I don't know what you mean by that. "Not the whole side"?

The song is called "2112", and also, as I'm sure you know, the name of the album on which it occurs is "2112".

Clarify?

58. Doesn't have quite the diversity of sound as Agaetis Byrjun, but....
it's still quite a good album. The first upbeat half still has that effect of putting my mind in an almost altered state of slow, placid joy like many track on Agaetis did. The second dark half is decent overall, however, the last track out of that set is one of their best pieces of music, IMO, partly because of the incredible use of percussion.

64. agreed
Agaetis Byrjun still blows me away. The first time I heard it, I didn't like it at all...put it aside for a few months. Then one day, was going nuts trying to find something to listen to, popped it in, and never looked back. () is genius, and I love it, but perhaps because I'd already been introduced to that sound, it didn't have the same punch that Agaetis Byrjun hit me with the first time.

Does that make any sense? I just wonder if () would be my fave if it came out first.

In other Icelandic music news, have you heard Siggi Armann? He opened for Sigur Ros somewhere or other, and is also quite genius (in a much more low key folkie and fun lyrics kind of way).

I tell you, those Icelanders stay inside all winter and come up with some really beautiful music to get them through.

All 7 and we?ll watch them fall
They stand in the way of love
And we will smoke them all
With an intellect and a savoir-faire
No one in the whole universe
Will ever compare
I am yours now and u are mine
And together we?ll love through
All space and time, so don?t cry
One day all 7 will die
All 7 and we?ll watch them fall
They stand in the way of love
And we will smoke them all
With an intellect and a savoir-faire
No one in the whole universe
Will ever compare
I am yours now and u are mine
And together we?ll love through
All space and time, so don?t cry
One day all 7 will die

And I saw an angel come down unto me
In her hand she holds the very key
Words of compassion, words of peace
And in the distance an army?s marching feet (1,2,3,4 - 1,2,3,4)
But behold, we will watch them fall

And we lay down on the sand of the sea
And before us animosity will stand and decree
That we speak not of love only blasphemy
And in the distance, 6 others will curse me
But that?s alright, (that?s alright)
4 I will watch them fall(1,2,3,4,5,6,7)

All 7 and we?ll watch them fall
They stand in the way of love
And we will smoke them all
With an intellect and a savoir-faire
No one in the whole universe
Will ever compare
I am yours now and u are mine
And together we?ll love through
All space and time, so don?t cry
One day all 7 will die

<(just how old)>

And we will see a plague and a river of blood
And every evil soul will surely die in spite of
Their 7 tears, but do not fear
4 in the distance, 12 souls from now
U and me will still be here - we will still be here

There will be a new city with streets of gold
The young so educated they never grow old
And a, there will be no death 4 with every breath
The voice of many colors sings a song
That?s so bold
Sing it while we watch them fall

All 7 and we?ll watch them fall
They stand in the way of love
And we will smoke them all
With an intellect and a savoir-faire
No one in the whole universe
Will ever compare
I am yours now and u are mine
And together we?ll love through
All space and time, so don?t cry
One day all 7 will die

53. 5:15 - Chris Isaak

"5:15"

Oh, 5:15 is just a train.
5:24 it leaves the station again.
Tell me why.
Did she go?

5:15 is just a line.
Big black train took the girl of mine.
Tell me where does she go?
Tell me where does she go?

What big dreams we had,
Now I watch those dreams all fade and die.
What big plans we had,
Now I watch those trains go rolling by.
Rolling by, rolling by.
I'm watching the trains.
The trains.

5:15 is just a train.
5:24 it leaves the station again.
Tell me why did she go?
Tell me why did she go?
I'm watching the trains.
The trains.
The trains.
The trains.
The trains.
The trains the trains the trains.......
