I just sent this response to some freeper 'humor' emailed to me:

It was sent to a small mailing list that I am on, a friendly list of people who have birds. One woman sent the list a URL to a website of "political humor," which you many have seen, using the "Gilligan's Island" theme song to make fun of Kerry. I sent this reply, not to her privately, but to the entire list. I was pissed.


I don't appreciate "humor" such as this, humor based on lies and distortions financed by rich Texas republicans. FYI, I have been volunteering for the Kerry campaign, partly because I believe that four more years of bush* in the White House could lead our country, if not the whole world, to total destruction.

So they put up barricades so they couldn't punch their holes.
Chads, that is. Duval County. Miami-Dade.

Before the votes were counted five Supremes stepped in.
Told all the voters "Hey, we want George to win."
"Stop counting votes!" was their solemn invocation.
And that's how George finally got his coronation.
Rigged, that is. Illegitimate. No moral authority.
Y'all come vote now. Ya hear?

8. The woman who sent the freeper mail just sent me an apology

She didn't send to the list; sent it to me personally. She apologized for sending it, saying she didn't mean to offend and she won't send me any more of those.

BUT, she also wanted some "equal time" and wrote a paragraph on why she wants four more years of bush. She said she used to be a democrat and even voted for Clinton. But her favoring of bush mainly has to do with her being a Christian and knowing that he won't allow gay marriage and "abortion on demand" (don't you just love that phrase; makes it sound like there's an assembly line of women going in for abortions). Anyhoo, I'm tired and have to go to bed now, but I think that tomorrow I'll send her a reply telling her how as a Christian, I see this admin doing a whole bunch of things that are not very Christian. Then I'll have to list some.

Funny thing is, when I was canvassing for Kerry today in NH, a couple of the people we talked to were for bush, and those were the two reasons they cited that they liked him. Man, these repugs appear to be succeeding at using these two things as wedge issues; some folks don't even look beyond them.
