IQ Test (For real)
I haven't taken an IQ test in like a hundred years so I decided to
give it a go.

Anyone who has a little time and would like to know what your
IQ is, go to:

Emode.com

Maybe later we can compare scores. They don't give you this
information but on another site it stated the average IQ is between
70 - 125. Hmmm...believe I read somewhere Bush's is 91 and
Clinton's is 182. Can you tell?

1. FYI - The Bush IQ was Snoped
http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/hoaxes/presiq.htm

I do recall reading somewhere than Bill Clinton was probably one of the 100 smartest world leaders of the 20th Century, but that was a subjective analysis.

4. 100 is the national average...
and I seriously doubt clinton was above 180.
He may be smart, but I doubt he exceeds Einstein

10. You're answer is extremely clever!
I even prefer the guy stating, the average level is between(!) 80 and 125.
But being as clever as I am, I would just guess 100 is 100 is 100...
Couldn't resist:-)

9. 129
drunk and tired - strange, usually the speed of the answer is important. This doesn't seem to be the case here.

3. Those online IQ tests inflate your scores
It's part of suckering you into signing up for their premium service.

I took that Emode one and got 144 - apparently that's all the higher their scale goes anyway so who knows.

The Original IQ Test

Congratulations, cathy!
Your IQ score is 118

This number is the result of a formula based on how many questions you answered correctly on Emode's Ultimate IQ test. Your IQ score is scientifically accurate; to read more about the science behind our IQ test, click here.

During the test, you answered four different types of questions — mathematical, visual-spatial, linguistic and logical. We analyzed how you did on those questions, which reveals the way your brain uniquely works.

We also compared your answers with others who have taken the test, and according to the sorts of questions you got correct, we can tell your Intellectual Type is an Insightful Linguist.

And if thats inflated, I guess I won't be joining MENSA anytime soon:(

13. Wish I were an Insightful Linguist!
Emode pegged me as a Word Warrior! Guess that's OK.

"We also compared your answers with others who have taken the test. According to the sorts of questions you got correct, we can tell your Intellectual Type is a Word Warrior.

This means you have exceptional verbal skills. You can easily make sense of complex issues and take and unusually creative approach to solving problems. Your strengths also make you a visionary. Even without trying you're able to come up with lots of new and creative ideas. And that's just a small part of what we know about you from your test results."

That makes the writer in me feel good.

Unfortunately, my score was 126. Last month, another test scored me at 137. A real, official test 30 years ago gave me 146.1. Guess the older I get, the dumber I am. Just thought the degeneration wouldn't happen quite so fast!

Am I paying for the rest of the results? With a score of 126? I'm not that dumb!

6. I don't trust online IQ tests, or IQ tests in general
I don't think IQ's terribly important, unless you want to become a mathematician or something. I got scores ranging from 124 to 155.

8. I agree.
IQ tests really only test Logical-Mathematical intelligence which is good for people who are wating to pursue "left-brained" fields such as accounting or engineering, but leaves out a lot of other types of intelligence.

I received a 155 on an on-line IQ test, which is obviously total bunk. :)

11. I receive a range of scores too
I have found that they vary quite a bit and my mood affects me quite a bit. Sometimes I don't feel like thinking to my full capabilities or have much of an attention span. My range is similiar to yours. I qualified as an elementary school student for my city school's gifted program which accepted less than the top 5%. I'm suppose to be smart. I am not sure if I'd qualify for Mensa. My husband qualified but didn't like the people he met there and found them very snobbish.
