19. That'd be a good one
Sting has all that yoga flexibility and strength, but Copeland's dad was a CIA agent, so you know he has some tricks...

Dunno 'Bout That
The reunited for Sting's wedding to Trudy. They all said they enjoyed it and made them think a future reunion was possible. Asked about the earlier battles, both Sting and Stewart said they were older now and hopefully wiser.

Besides... Barrett would just sit there and mutter to himself about orange alpacas while smearing himself with his own drool.

17. Beach Boys.
They never should have toured without Brian, but it was a different era then. Now it's Mike Love, Bruce Johnston (sometimes), David Marks (played with them for about two weeks), and four guys who used to sweep out the tour bus.

31. The Who.
As far as I'm concerned, they definitely should not have continued calling themselves "The Who" after John Entwistle passed on. Many people would go even further and say that The Who should have broken up after Keith Moon's death back in 1978.

16. The Raspberries.
Either the original lineup, or the 1974 group. Eric Carmen's ego is the main deterrent there.

And I can't let you get by with dissing Natalie Merchant. I love-love-love that woman.

22. Eeeeeep!
Eric Carmen. I did like the Raspberries, too, but Eric Carmen needed those other guys to avoid being treacly. Listen to any of his solo stuff and you'll hear what i'm talking about. Or, you already know.

The VH1 Behind the Music show on them that aired recently was pretty good (the best one in a really long time actually).

"Guns n Roses" is basically Axl and some other dudes. I think everyone else is involved with Velvet Revolver.

I've read that twice in DU about Paul trying to reform the Mats, but I've never found any source about same. Do you have a link or something?

Big Mats fan, and despite my gut feeling, would loooooove to see them again.

...No Zeppelin without Bonham and they all know it. I've enjoyed the Page/Plant tours and seeing John Paul Jones as a solo artist, but Zep ended in September, 1980.

40. I know though if they were going to do it Bonzo's son would
be the way to go. I dont need new material but god I would love a tour just to see them play a set of zeppelin material only.

The DVD's helped a lot but I was too young to see them live.

35. Top this list.
ABBA (the two couples got divorced)

The Monkees (they all hate having gotten involved, even if they were unique in transcending the manufactured image to become their own)

The Mamas and the Papas (Mama Cass and John Phillips died)

Soho (broke up, came back to do "Whisper to a Scream" for a recent popular movie, I forgot which one though)

The B-52s (Ricky Wilson died, but group broke up in 1992 - and came back briefly in 1991 for 2 new songs.)
