Me: What?

Frantic man: Is this the home of Dr. Stewart Fielding?

(I knew that name from somewhere, but i had to think, and it hit me!)

Me: Stewart Fielding had once lived in this house, but that was back in the early 1950s.

Frantic man: (mutters Oh God) I know this may sound crazy, but what year is it?

Me: Come on, who is this?

Frantic man: Please! My name is William Clark. Please tell me what year this is!

Me: (sighing) It's 2004!

Frantic man: Oh God, No!

(and he hung up!)

1. I then stepped immediately out of the "cliche storyline" machine

and found myself staring dumbly at a glowing monitor at 5:40 in the A.M., face numb, eyes glazed, and fingers flying rapidly over the softly clicking keyboard.

I notice my slackened jaw and grind my teeth together, flexing my jaw muscles as I lean back and take a quick look around the darkened room. Hiding in one corner is what appears to be a strange stool, or perhaps a work of art. Indeed, it is a pizza box tower, of rarely seen proportions.

Standing, I immediately noticed a small movement from behind the pizza boxes...

hehe. :)
