how is it done ??? How do they get the pictures there? I want to put pictures on and Kerry signs on, but I don't know how to do it. Will one of you people please help me. Okay, here's the deal, for the third time, I implore you: I download a picture from the web to my pictures folder. Now, how do I get it over here? This is a new computer and I am lost. It's a Dell 4200 and I use Windows XP. I will buy you a beer, anything, just help me. What do you want from Mexico ? A sombrero ? Pottery ?? What ??? I'll mail it to you, anything, a free surf lesson, I swear, I'm losing my mind, help me...I just want to put a picture on !!!:crazy:

You need to put your pictures on an image hosting service. A lot of DUers have free accounts at http://www.photobucket.com but I am sure there are others. So open an account; upload some pictures; then copy and paste the URL of the picture into your message and voila: pictures!

I have T-1 at the office and some of these huge signatures take forever to load. I'm on dial-up at home and it is a pain waiting for those things to load.

25. That's The Reason Why I Disabled The "View Signatures" Option...

Normally I enjoy seeing people's signature lines. I like the quotes and the smaller pictures are interesting looks into the type of person they are. They are generally interesting.

BUT....

The huge pictures and EXTRA WIDE banners that are being used in some signatures are annoying enough that I've just decided to turn off viewing signatures completely.

I know that there's not a hard-fast rule about signature graphics... and their X/Y dimensions (that I know of) but maybe there ought to be.

IF Your signature / picture take up more space than 2 or 3 lines - SHRINK IT or GET RID OF IT! You're the equivalent of talking on a cell phone in the movie theater. BE courteous!
