Anyone remember "The Littlest Hobo"? A 60's TV show.
About a stray mongrel that travels around the country and meets up with different people and becomes involved in their situation. It was a great family show and i beleive that Johnny Cash sand the opening theme song.

2. Absolutely...
it was on in Philly on Friday nights at 7 Pm, right before Camp Runamuck - (on NBC).

Great show - Lassie without the child abuse and neglect...

4. Oh, yeah!
For those who missed this lil' dog who became a Canadian icon, here's the juice.

The Littlest Hobo

"There's a voice that keeps on calling me.
Down the road. That's where I'll always be.
Oh, every stop I make, I make a new friend.
Can't stay for long. Just turn around, and I'm gone again.
Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down.
Until tomorrow, I'll just keep movin' on.
So, if you want to join me for awhile,
just grab your hat, and we'll travel light. That's hobo style.
Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down.
Until tomorrow, I'll just keep movin' on.
Until tomorrow, the whole world is my home."

The singer was Randy Sparks.

5. I thought the Canadian version was the original...
...the Canadian one wasn't great, except one episode hade Abe Vigoda as a mobster who stole a Van Gogh.

The Canadian one was late 70s-early 80s.

6. My money is on the Vic Morrow episode.
Vic Morrow as a drunk on the loose was outstanding. Hobo sees him run over someone and guilt trips him into turning himself in.

'Silent Witness' 1979.
