A Rant.....Don't you just love it When Fellow DU'ers post ...
...something like:

"I'm a Lawyer/baker/Computer Tech/Scientist....Ask me anything!! "

...Then people ask questions and after 10 Minutes the poster stops answering anything ( abandons the post) and there's like 25 questions remaining on the thread that never gets answered.

Why does it bother me?...I don't know ...It just seems Rude and Shitty. (I'd expect that treatment from a Repug but not a Democrat.)

End of Rant :)

1. Yeah, that doesn't seem right
I think folks who start threads should always stick around for a while to facilitate discussion. As far as the "ask me anything threads", I never click on them.

9. How about

"We're the Pros from Dover" - ask us anything.

( a obscure MASH reference - book, not movie or TV )

11. Didn't they say that when they barged into that hospital in Tokyo?
I thought that it was in the movie

12. Yeah,it was there

but the book goes on and on, plus explains the whole backstory
without which, the line "We're the Pros from Dover" just doesn't
make that much sense.

6. Actually.....Mr.Scorpio, you are one of the fine people who...
..don't abandon the tread. I was going to point out the ones who never do but I was afraid I'd leave someone out and they would be offended.

Now as for the Buttermilk thing..????????

5. It is indeed rude and shitty...
... to start a lame-ass "Ask me anything!" thread, and then fail to check back to answer the people who asked you, well, anything.

:D

10. Maybe
They thought they'd have more time when they posted it, and then got busy? I've never posted an ask me anything thread, but I have posted, and then the kids have pulled me away, so I don't always respond right away, and then sometimes I've forgotten I've posted anything, especially if it's been more than 24 hours. Maybe it's not so much rudeness as it is flakiness, which is the case with me.

13. I've never seen such bad tech advice been so eagerly
lapped up by the unassuming masses before.

Needless to say, due to that and the lack of any form of appreciation, I no longer help with anything tech or photoshop and you can all go F yourselves.

Yes, that's how I really feel about it.
