Question about drudge and web traffic

I know, I know, but his site will be referenced by DUers at least until the elections are decided, and I have wondered this for a while. Since he's currently running a piece on some newspaper exaggerating its circulation, and since he likes to post his traffic numbers from time to time, I thought I'd ask.

If you visit his site, and you stay there for more than a few moments, you'll notice the site refreshes itself. I've never seen a headline or story change after this auto-refresh.

So the question is - if you visit his site (or any other "auto-refreshing" site), and the site refreshes once or more while you're there - does that count (by Alexa, anyway) as one "hit" (your original visit), or as multiple hits (your original visit, plus each time the site refreshes while you're there)?

1. Well he is counting it in the statistic he brags about, yes

no doubt he does get an enormous number of legitimate hits though.

2. It doesn't matter

how long you stay at the site, the hit counter only increments on your initial entrance. I looked at his underlying website code and found that he actually 'hard-codes' the numbers on his page, his numbers could be complete BS for all I know. They don't change unless the sludge manually changes them. Yes I AM a geek.

3. What's the mirror site?

I know I've been to a mirror site for Drudge where you can read what this shitbag is lying about without increasing his hits...anyone have that url?
