This is what would've happened if Adrian Monk investigated Kobe Bryant
I think Adrian would've freaked out and solved the case right away after he heard the dirty paties excuse. Then after they went to a local restaurant to eat lunch, Adrian would've passed out after he heard what "Rocky Moutain Oysters" were.

1. I grossed out a relative once

while I was living in Colorado... ordered some Rock Mountain
Oysters for the group... afterward told him what they really
are (you didn't really think they had Oysters here, did you?)

Here is the conversation:

"I think they had a slight nutty flavor to them, what do
you think?" After he agreed that they had a nutty flavor,
I said "Well, they sure SHOULD!"

18. Have him come to Holdingford, MN sometime
I forget the exact date, but I grew up about 4 miles from there, and ever summer they had the annual "Testicle Festival." Anything from pigs to sheep to bulls, you got it.

Then there's Avon, MN, about 10 miles away, that has "Spunktacular Days" around the same time. Nothing to do with testicle eating, but it makes you wonder......

2. I love Adrian Monk...

Tony Shalhoub is one of very few celebrities I've considered sending a fan letter to...

Would love to have an autographed photo...

7. Just remember to compliment the chef

if you can detect that slight nutty flavor. That shows that
they have been prepared correctly!

You have a healthy attitude, my friend.

By the way, there's hidden text in my message above. Just a hint. :D

15. You're right. I don't eat at those places.

Thanks for the hint, but I don't get it. Maybe I'm just dense, I don't know. From the comments you've all been making, it sounds like it's something disgusting. And the hint doesn't immediately bring to mind anything disgusting.

Edited to add: I just glanced through all the posts again, and I think I finally get it. Maybe. But from what animal?

17. I'm not sure, exactly
I think it's either cow, sheep or goat. They're battered and fried. The people who have eaten them say they taste great and they LOVE them. I guess you'd have to if you still ate them knowing what they were.

I'll stick to chicken breast, thankyouverymuch.

8. ME TOO!!
It's the one show we eagerly anticipate and schedule ourselves to be home to watch. "Let's go to a movie tonight!" "Okay, but we have to be home in time for 'Monk'!"

I recently bought the first season on DVD; we watched the entire 4-disc set in about 3 days. Truly a gem of a show.

11. Me Three!
He is awesome! So glad this show is popular... it would crush me if it were cancelled.

His wife made a film last year, can't remember the name just now... if anyone knows wtf I'm talking about and has seen it, please chime in. It was playing at one of the indie theaters and I didn't get to go (Shaloub & the wife made an appearance), so I need to check and see if I can find it for rent somewhere.
