Atlanta woman practices unique plastic surgery on transgender patients
A Gwinnett County woman accused of injecting liquid silicone into the body of a man from south Georgia who wanted to look more like a woman is free on a $55,000 bond.

Investigators with the Gwinnett County District Attorney’s Office executed a search warrant Tuesday afternoon at the home of 46-year-old Verna Barnett, who’s charged with one count of unauthorized practice of medicine.

They believe she has performed dangerous procedures known as ‘pumping’ on transgender patients for years.

“They come to her to have breasts or hips added,” said Gwinnett District Attorney Danny Porter. “Silicone is injected directly into their bodies.”

Authorities say she mixed the silicone with baby oil to make it to easier to inject.

1. Ick!
That is actually an old use of silicone that was used by strippers and such pre-implant days. The SF entertainer Carol Doda ws known to have had that done. It's still used in other countries, particularly latin America, where it is a cheap alternative to surgery.

It can bring some terrible side effects with it, one of which is rock hard breasts.

3. Nope to the video...
my computer runs on foot power. :)

I had heard of some very bad health risks, but was unaware that it could put someone on life support. That is definitely worse than "icky".

There was an interesting documentary on the trannie prostitutes of Brazil years ago that I watched -- the liquid silicone work they were having done to create their feminine form was pretty radical.
