Poll question: Do you think Aunt May knows Peter is Spider-Man?
"He knows a hero when he sees one. Too few characters out there, flying around like that, saving old girls like me. And Lord knows, kids like Henry need a hero. Courageous, self-sacrificing people. Setting examples for all of us. Everybody loves a hero. People line up for them, cheer them, scream their names. And years later, they'll tell how they stood in the rain for hours just to get a glimpse of the one who taught them how to hold on a second longer. I believe there's a hero in all of us, that keeps us honest, gives us strength, makes us noble, and finally allows us to die with pride, even though sometimes we have to be steady, and give up the thing we want the most. Even our dreams."

Pretty long-winded, even for an old lady. She knew "Spider-Man" had given up, but also understands why Peter wants to keep his secret -- hence the speech.

1. I betcha
that the way it'll shake out in the movies is Peter will be shocked when he finally breaks down and tells her, then she gives him the look that says, "I've known for years."

3. I think that's exactly how it happened in the comics.
Not sure, though.

2. I'm glad that MJ knows
Now Peter won't need to be such a wimp all the time for her.

Harry is now set up to take after his dad as Green Goblin. Or perhaps he'll try to make a new hero, and try to steal MJ away from Peter. I'm afraid I stopped reading the comic books many, many long years ago.

5. He becomes the HOBGoblin.
Harry's not nuts, he's just pissed, so he'll go back and forth morally conflicted about what he does. It's also a little mental illness, but he's not like his dad, so that stuff's not running through his veins. I believe that's how the comics go.

7. Not to spoil anything
But if I remember my comics right (and who knows how closely the movies will follow them), Harry every now and then goes wacko and becomes the Green Goblin. When he returns to normal he forgets that Peter is Spider-man although the last time I saw him go Gobby was when he was trying to make the Goblin a hero and save his father's "good name." He remembered that Pete was Spidey then as well.

8. IIRC MJ is never tempted from peter
though of course, as the "hot chick", she is obvious kidnapping fodder

And harry takes over as another goblin, I can't remember if he kept the name or changed it some....
