6. No. McKean will always be David St. Hubbins..........
named after the patron saint of comfortable footwear.

Has anyone heard the Museum of Radio and Television commercial on AirAmerica they do. McKean is immediately recognizable as the museum attendant. But David L. Lander (Squiggy) plays a patron complaining about the "lack of stuffiness". It took me 4-5 listens before I recognized the voice.

9. Same here, to me he will always be a member of Spinal Tap
However I hope to one day see him play Tony Blair, they could be brothers.

BTW :kick: to McKean for being a democrat.

Also thanks to the members of Monty Python and David Guess and Harry Shearer for also hating * as much as we do.

13. No way. Hated that show. He's David St Hubbins.
I couldn't stand Laverne and Shirley back when it first aired and I recently watched it a couple of times just to see if something had shifted in that assessment -- nope...still the same strident, unfunny, noisefest. To be fair, Mike's great even in that, but the show was dire (my opinion, of course, as should be obvious from it being the opinion that I am currently projecting).

14. I was like 8 - so it worked on me
I wouldn't be able to watch it now if you payed me.

Of course he's REALLY David St Hubbins in the same way that Ed Begley Jr will always be "Stumpy" Joe Peeps

Its just a Linus's blanket kind of thing for me

15. No, but I always refer to Squiggy as Squiggy.
I can never remember his real name. Even when I'm talking about the actor having MS, I still refer to him as Squiggy.
