Who else had an exceptionally shitty day?
I'm buying.

God, it was rotten enough, and then I spilled Coke in my fucking truck.

So who else had a wretched, fucked-up day?

6. Aside from the spilling/clumsiness
I got a phone call from my mother that was incredibly cryptic, and then I called and she was even more cryptic. She must have driven back from San Antonio with my sister this afternoon, where they "fixed" her problem. I wasn't told much of anything. Which is frustrating, cause I've been so goddamned depressed about the whole sorry affair.

Plus, my stomach has been f'ed up all day on account of the tremendous amounts of anxiety I have. And I had a headache. And I overslept. Etc.

I woke up on the wrong side of fortune today.

:(

7. Since Saturday:
I have had a toothache for two weeks. I cannot, and I mean cannot afford a dentist. My brother informed me that he tests positive for the antibodies to Hep C. My 21" monitor died. My shitty Little Job(2 days a week, $56.00 a week, 4 hours a day, all that is available in the town in which I am stuck) is going sour, this in spite of the fact I work my ass off and always show up early. Think "5th Grade Bullying and Ganging-Up". It's just that mature. The next website I am supposed to do has been delayed by indecisiveness, and so has the money.

I am in pain, sad, confused, scared and angry, all at once.

Sorry you spilled your Coke. I, on the other hand, am ready to crawl out of my skin.

And I do not drink.

Sure do wish I could afford a dentist.

9. Do you have a dental school nearby?
Only the senior students get to work on patients and all their work gets inspected by a REAL dentist. My mother had an crown that she paid a REAL dentist big money for and the damn thing never fit right and he never fixed it right after numerous tries. She went to the dental school and the took care of her just fine. Her "student" even called her at home to check on her a couple of times to make sure it was still feeling okay. It's the best service money can't buy. Sometimes there's a wait though.

If you're using IE, just right click and hit properties, and copy the image address. Then paste it in the sig box on your profile screen.

15. "Why do I smile at people who I'd much rather kick in the eye?"
I have a long memory, Heddi. IIRC, you're a Moz fan.

I was happy in the haze of a drunken hour
But heaven knows I'm miserable now

I was looking for a job, and then I found a job
And heaven knows I'm miserable now

In my life
Why do I give valuable time
To people who don't care if I live or die ?

Two lovers entwined pass me by
And heaven knows I'm miserable now

I was looking for a job, and then I found a job
And heaven knows I'm miserable now

In my life
Oh, why do I give valuable time
To people who don't care if I live or die ?

What she asked of me at the end of the day
Caligula would have blushed

"You've been in the house too long" she said
And I (naturally) fled

In my life
Why do I smile
At people who I'd much rather kick in the eye ?

I was happy in the haze of a drunken hour
But heaven knows I'm miserable now

"You've been in the house too long" she said

when your gift unfurls,
when your talent becomes aparent

I will roar from the stalls,
I will gurgle from the circle

The saints smile shyly down on you

Oh you couldn't get over your nine-leaf clover
rah-ah-ha-ha rah-ha-ha-ha

Lucky lisp was not wasted on you
lucky lisp wasn't wasted on you

when your names' with the best
will my name be on your guest list?

and I will roar from the stalls
ooo the balcony fool was me, you fool

Jesus made this all for you love
(you love you love you love)
Oh you couldn't get over your grandma's omen
rah-ah ha ha

oh lucky lisp was not wasted on you
lucky lisp wasn't wated on you

da da da da da....etc
---

I love that song. I love all Smiths/Moz songs. You just put me in a good mood. Thanks, chum!

27. Just pass the bottle--ok?
OK--I'm working again--and that is a plus, I guess, but did it HAVE to be the one job I NEVER wanted to take? This is the first time in my life I've ever taken a job with the clear intent of quitting it as soon as possible.

I work for a man I don't trust, the staff resents me, and I have to defend this asswipe publicly when he sticks his foot in his mouth. My 7 year old has more tact than this butthead does--and I'm supposed to "cover his back."

If I'd had any other options, I'd have taken them. After a full year of unemployment, I had NO choice...

Somebody give me an IV drip--please?

Laura

32. misery loves company
I am bi-polar but it's under control with Lithium. However, one never escapes the stigma of it from "normal" people. My college boyfriend who I dated in 1987 came back into my life last fall. We lived together in my apartment here in Dallas, then we leased a huge place together with his dog. The day we moved, June 1, 2004, was also my 2nd day in paraleagal school (May 28 was 1st-then brk for Mem Day). School is a beeeaaaaach and moving is too so I got run down and copped a major sinus infection. I have missed SEVEN days of class (it's a 6 month certificate program if you have a B.A./B.S) so it moves at 6 weeks = a semester.
I'm fried. If it looks like I am asking for pity, geez I am. Due to my diagnosis, I have a shrink and i called him in tears (I am female, yes) and he said, " maybe you are taking on too much..."
But with the W economy, I was a securities broker until U couldn't get work and my Series 7 &63 licenses expired Dec. 31, 2003. Unlike Dubya and his "base" as Michael Moore showcases in the F. 9/11 preview...I don't have a rich daddy to be like some fairy and waive it's wand.
Moral to story: let's Puh-lease elect Kerry. The economy is always better under a Democrat (so it's been in my 39 yrs. here on the planet earth.)
Thanks and thank you DU for making me feel welcome.
Kathryn

34. I went to all the trouble of creating a Poll
asking who people think is the "Most Important Woman", and its sunk into oblivion already after 15 posts and six of them were mine.

The "Who's the prettiest/ sexiest/ jiggliest/most fuckable/most brainless girly-poo" polls are tearing up the charts.

Where the fuck are the feminists here?

Give me something sweet with an umbrella in it, please.
