Can anyone recommend some good free Spyware/Adware removal programs?

I really need to get all this crap off of my computer and no program I've tried has really done the trick yet. I frequently notice my homepage being changed, and more popups and ads than I've had before.

Any suggestions?

what's nice about this program is that you don't have to remember to run it periodically ... it blocks the spyware before it gets on your machine ...

Go to: < http://www.safer-networking.org >. You will have to do a little fishing around for the download. Important: if asked where to download choose desktop. Download from C/NET if still available there. If you have a separate virus scan program you can run to scan the down load do so. Always load such programs as a separate program in Program Files, never include it as part of another program. If your scan shows no viruses. Open the program and follow install instructions. They always tell to close all programs that are running which you cannot do as windows or whatever operating system you are using is a program. The important ones to close are any anti virus or internet security programs you have running. Spend some time reading the help file. It`s pretty straightforward but you need to understand how to use the program. Good luck, ...Oscar
