Ebayers - know anything about copyright infringement reporting?
An artist I know is getting ripped of by someone selling CD-r's of his product. I have reported it via the canned reports of EBay - they have done nothing. I don't suppose there is actually a live system or an actual email system?
It annoys me - I once put up a TMQ bootleg of The Band - an early 70's recording that circulates freely on the web - more for the value of the physical/historical document - and they yanked it within 5 hours. Here, someone has no investment, no real physical product - just out and out intellectual property theft and they choose not to act. :grr:
I was told by the paypal folks that in one of the corners of the main ebay home page there is supposed be live online support. Having had a few auctions killed myself, I do understand what you mean.
I suppose I am more involved than I need to be. I knew the guy way back and when. Now he is big; a major has his work through a distro deal with his smallish company so the legal letter should come from his management, attorneys, whatever. It just seemed a common yokel could report. :sigh:
