Anyone seen the movie "The Saddest Music in the World"?

What a strange yet funny flick. Sort of like David Lynch with a sense of humor. Your thoughts?

1. I saw it last week

I would have to agree with you. I haven't seen any of this director's other movies, but I might like to, just to put this in context.

Those Canadian director--what a madcap lot, eh?

2. Throughout the movie I kept saying to myself,

"Alright, how are you going to top THAT wierdness?" And he did. Expecially when Isabella put on the glass legs filled with beer!

3. I think there's a Canadian sensibility in films.

It's hard to explain. The look of some Canadian films...much darker, IMO. Atom Egoyan and Cronenberg's films are like that. Darker, more moodier.

I haven't seen any of Guy Maddin's films, but I am interested in seeing "The Saddest Song in the World".
