How do you clean a DVD--the disc, not the player
I rented this movie that only goes up to certain point then pixellates or freezes. Sometimes get a "disc dirty" message.

Any ideas?

BTW, my DVD player is about 4-5 yrs old.

1. I put mine on the top rack
of the dishwasher. Works like a charm. Great for sunglasses, too.

2. Ashcroft has planted those "dirty disc" messages...
...if the content isn't up to our family values. Just what kind of DVD are you watching young man?

(Seriously I dunno, I just rub it on my sweater but I'm sure that's not right.)

6. yup, this is best
running water, followed by a little dish soap, and a good rinse. rinsing off the gritty crud, instead of rubbing it in is the really important part. the best for cd's, dvd's, glasses, whatever.

4. Very, very carefully
I spray with one spritz of Dry Erase Board Cleaner from 12" away and wipe gently, center to edge with a paper towel.
