What are albums you love that you didn't care for at first?

Do you have any albums that you bought or someone gave you that you really didn't care for at first, but upon repeat listening found that you really love? I've had that happen recently with a 60's album by Love called "Da Capo". "Forever Changes" is one of my all time favorite albums and I've had "Da Capo" in my collection for some time, but I always that it was a subpar effort for Love with just one good song, Maclean's 'Orange Skies'. But then I listened to it several months ago, and I really got hooked into the songs 'She Comes in Colors' and 'Stephanie Knows Who'. I kept listening to it more frequently and now I love the whole album, including 'Revelation'.

First time that happened to me was with Nirvana's "In Utero". Bought it for 'Heart Shaped Box', didn't care for anything else. Repeat listening gave me a greater appreciation for 'Pennyroyal Tea' and 'Serve the Servants'. Now I think it's amazing.

Anyone else have that happen? What are some of your favorite album conversions?

1. Stop Making Sense

When I first heard it it gave me a headache. Now I don't know how I lived without it.

Tidal.

bought it for "criminal" and "sleep to dream" after i got it, it was much more mellow and didn't care for it. i stuck with it, and ended up loving it. wish the @#$%!! studio would release her new one, i've been waiting on it for a while.

Started out liking Tidal, now I love it. Great album to just chill out with on a weekend afternoon.

3. Loaded- Velvet Underground

It was the first thing I ever heard by them.

When I listened to it the first time, it was because an ex played it for me. I was like, "huh?"

Now, I love it.
