Yaaaaay! Let's make up band names!
Or if you're not feeling creative, just share your favorite obscure/weird/oddball band names. However, any reply will be disallowed unless it's in the form of a stage announcement, as in the following that I just made up:

WE ARE... THE FLOPSWEATS!

As ever, if there's a real band by this name, just don't tell me. Ok! Everybody play!

3. Death Row Jethro...
...some band had that as a name but disappeared within like two weeks. Thought it was a great name for an Alt/Country band.

4. When I was in Jr. high we were going to form a band.
The Vipers.
1st album - "Kiss of Death"
2nd album - "Fangs of fury"
and our best of - "The Vipers, Bite Back"
Of course none of us had any talent.

The Violent Overthrow of the Government

14. There was a band named the Vipers
I think they had several albums. If I recall, their first was called Outta The Nest and it's regarded as a minor classic in some circles.
And there was a band in the 60s called Randy Alvey & Green Fuz (one 'Z') who recorded a song also called Green Fuz that's distinctly a masterpiece of its genre.
I always liked Boeing Duveen and the Beautiful Soup, and Simple Simon and the Piemen. But Black Magic Johnson and Death Row Jethro are winners too!

Always thought that would make a good band name. (in case anybody doesn't know, it's an anatomical reference)

Weeping Cardboard Jesus came up in the Lounge earlier this week - that will make a great band name!

19. I'll start with my all time favorite actual band name - The Shitty Beatles
From Austin, early 1980s. You see, they were just like the Beatles, only shitty.

Other possibilities -

Phlegm, Mucus and Toe Jam

Hitler's Left Nut

The Bastard Sons of Eddie Haskell

Alphonso Bedoya's Hat

Pursued By Geraldo Rivera

30. Booger Trifecta
I included this suggestion in a letter I wrote Dave Barry. He always comes up with cool rock band names in his columns, and it was appropriate in the context of the correspondence I sent him. Boogers are a recurring theme in his work. :D

37. I like
The Twinkie Defense, maybe I'll use it someday.

My old band in the 90's was called Dyslexicon (we had the name long before that Dandelion album came out, BTW).

My daughter's in The Ramonas (all girl Ramones cover band) and V.A.M.P. (I think it stands for Vagrants Ate My Picnic or something like that).
