Bush recieves bogus Honorary Doctorate in Laws Degree
Ok, I know this is a rant...ignore as you see fit...

Concordia College (_un_iversity) Wisconsin, doesn't have a law school. But they award the shrub an honorary degree in that field.

Why would a school offer an honorary degree for which they generally are not in a postion to evaluate the quality of the recipient? As faculty scum I understand the politics of these things but I am none the less offended.

I guess I could take it as a joke. Shrub gets a diploma mill sheepskin with no value. But as a Wisconsinite I feel dirty that an organization of higher (?) learning in my region did this.

Moreover, I understand that this isn't going to add to the 28 high administration officials who have bogus degrees, because Shrubs Yale and Harvard degrees are already on the list... he got his "c"s as a consequence of his political heritage.

But I am none the less more unhappy than when I didn't know this...

2. The parallelism doesn't escape me...
I think the value of the shrub to institutional development has been far far mis-overestimated.

I thank God I didn't have to sit through a commencement program that would have left me barfing on the leg of the person to my right.

3. It's funny because U of TX in Austin declined *'s application to its law
school. That's why he went to Yale for the MBA.
